Rock Point Ranch

This was a spectacular 1000 acre property. Almost five miles of the Lower Big Hole River coursed through heavily timbered bottom-lands’ and irrigated fields tucked between rolling foothills and rocky ledges. Ranches of the West (ROW) assisted with acquisition, due diligence, and disposition of the ranch. ROW compiled the improvement plan, and supervised all work on the ranch. Dramatic improvements to the ranch compound, ponds, slough, fencing, changes in grazing management, beaver control, and strict recreational guidelines resulted in increases AUMs (animal unit months) and increases in a variety of big game populations , particularly trophy while tail deer, fisheries stability and very significant value increases for the owners. The ranch was subject to a conservation easement. The ranch was sold in the early 2000’s.
